I just could not understand why such a thing would take place, but after watching a few videos I got an understanding of why they do it. I myself would never do that it just does not make since to have that happen.
I read an article on this sight: http://www.religioustolerance.org/fem_cirm.htm and it said Muslim women circumcise their girls because Sunnah the writings of the prophet Muhammad says that they must. The also say that they do it because when their husbands goes on a Jihad for a year, they do not want there women to be tempted to commit adultery.
In some African villages they believe that if you do not cut of the clitoris it will cause the whole family to die, so if a girl refuses to have the procedure done she is disowned and thrown out of the village. No matter what the religious or cultural beliefs, this act of mutilation is cruel. I hope and pray for young girls all around the world that people grow and learn of this inhumane act and put a stop to it. Thanks for posting about this. Not enough people really know how common this is and the reasons behind this act.

Yes, it is such a horrible act. The parents who force there children into having this done impedes on their child rights, this is cruel and unusual.
ReplyDeleteIt's so devastating to know that this type of cruelty is happening to women all over the world. I wonder what woman would want this sort of thing done to another woman. More people need to get involved and put a stop to this cruelty. I think that your post was very informative and you addressed an issue that isn’t discussed very openly or often. Men are cruel to women. Men in many parts of the world--scratch that, nearly ALL of the world--HATE their women (emphasis on "Their"--possession, ownership, servitude, etc.) and want only to see their women serve their lusts, and get no pleasure in return. This barbaric practice is not in any way based on "purity." It is based on HATE. Men need women to bear their children, and pleasure their penises. After that, men seem to prefer them stuffed into a corner to wait for their next demand, only. This is true in bot the Arab world, and the West. It actually shames me to be numbered among these monstrous creatures that impose such cruelty upon you.
